Online Persona Role Play: Advertisement Analysis
As a hard-working, self-respecting woman in America I am somewhat confused..for a lack of a better term. These women depicted in this ad are animals, clawing, diving, and climbing their way all over this man, who, despite his weak attempts to weave his way out of the crowd of women, is basking in glory due to the fact that he is covered in women scantily dressed and literally "clawing" for his attention. While the overall ambiance of the male figure in this ad could be analyzed I would like to focus my attention on the young ladies depicted in this advertisement.
Through this ad I am reminded of the movie Mean Girls, in which high school girls literally end up kicking, clawing, tackling, and fighting each other over status or reputation. This is what is happening in this ad. Their animalistic persona created gives them a shallow sense of character with a lack of self-respect. Who would want to dive onto the ground to fight for a man, who knows absolutely nothing about you..nor necessarily cares?
Although it is this company's purpose to attract a specific target market of men to their product, they are in turn, degrading women by giving them unrealistic qualities and stereotypes. Men who are attracted to this ad believe the fact that this spray will attract women to them as if they need them to feel complete in life. It is not good enough for a man to get to know one women who is attracted to him for his personality, but he now needs a multitude of women to come charging at him to feel confident or good about himself. As long as they maintain good hygiene what's the need for them to drown themselves in the overpowering smell of cologne.

High School
Activities at _______ High School include, education, athletics, extra-curricular activities, plays and shows, voting, and fundraisers.
A typical day at ________ High School for the average student would consist of 6 hours of learning from Monday to Friday as well as a possible extra-curricular activity or athletic practice/game following the end of the school day. As 7:35 approaches, the student parking lot fills up with cars and students pile off buses pulling into the school. 4th period, also known as lunch period, is a time during the day when the school smells of the food the cafeteria is cooking for lunch. Whether it is chicken fingers, pizza, hamburgers, or french fries, the odors of the cafeteria food fill the halls of ________ High.

Some may say that there are other areas of ______ more important than this facility, but i disagree. ________ High School serves as a center of unity for many teenagers. Coming from various middle schools in the town, _______ High, the only public high school in _______, brings all teenagers from grades 9 to 12 to one common place. This place serves as a center for learning and development.
Despite its various appealing features, the aesthetics of the building may serve as a repulse some from using its facilities or develop a stereotype its students and faculty as having lower wisdom and learning capabilities as other schools which have been newly redone, such as Bellingham High School or Oliver Ames High School. Do not be fooled however, because _______ High students and its faculty fulfill their potential and challenge themselves each day to the highest capabilities.
_______High can be a special place for a family who's legacy has attended high school. Teachers who served as a parent's teacher when they were in high school, still hold their positions at Franklin High today, showing not only their loyalty, but also their excellence in educating. For these reasons, Franklin High appeals to many in the community.
Every 50 minutes a bell goes off and students being it file out of the classrooms and fill the halls with chattering and giggles and occasionally yells of excitement or frustration. Often administrators monitor the hallways holding their walky-talkies which they occasionally speak into. 2:05 marks a time of freedom for students who rush out to their cars as a line begins to form in the parking lot.
________ High offers several clubs and activities which are designed to fulfill the interests of a variety of students who attend Franklin. Clubs range from SADD, Best Buddies, Peer Leaders, and Empty Bowls, to Anime Club, The Green Team, Student Government, and the Literary Guild. The variety of clubs _________ High offers for its students also appeals to its students in the community, as well as colleges, who review one's high school resume and transcripts looking for extra-curricular activities.
This year, June 4th will mark a time of excitement for ________ High seniors as they walk across the stage at graduation to receive their diplomas after these four years at Franklin High School. This special memory marks a new time in these teenagers life as they move on to higher education or full-time jobs. The town common is a well-established part of the town of _______. Its citizens take pride in its function and appearance by hosting events that promote the town's past and present culture. The town common is most busy during the spring and summer months. There are often a variety of concerts that take place during the evenings including youth band concerts, jazz performances, and many more.
These concerts not only serve as entertainment, but also a way of bringing families together to a welcoming environment where they can relax and enjoy the music.
The annual fourth of July carnival is hugely popular among the community. For about four days the carnival takes place on the common, filling the grounds with rides, games, tents, and tables. The carnival can be heard from all over. There are cars parked all the way down the street and in the neighboring charter school parking lot. The sounds of the rides operating and then shrieks of children spinning around on them are a familiar sound i remember from the carnival. It attracts all ages and types of people.

My favorite ride has always been the zipper. When younger i remember that although i had always been fearless when it came to amusement park rides, this one ride, the zipper, i could not bring myself to go on. After finally building up the nerve to wait in the line and climb up into the rocking seat I closed my eyes the entire ride screaming with my friends as we were flipped and tossed around and around. Years later, my friends and I now visit the carnival every year for the sole purpose of riding the zipper.
At the front of the common is a memorial of veterans gave their life fighting for our country. A new memorial was put in last year after students at _______ High raised money for three soldiers who recently lost their life in combat overseas. This memorial is an important part of the town common symbolizing the bravery of the men who gave their lives as well as the respect our community has for them. On Veteran's Day November 11th, a service is held at the memorials remembering these troops and all others who are serving or have served their country.
St. Mary's church is across the street from the town commons and often from there you can hear the church bells ringing for church services or a wedding. The sidewalks of the town common serve as parking spots for church goers who file in and out of church before and after the service, often congregating on the common after masses to talk with their friends.
The elaborate decorations that cover the town common during the winter holidays make this place a unique part of our town. The trees are covered with festive Christmas lights and Santa's sleigh and reindeer hang across the town common. A large menorah stands in the common with other decor around it. There are also archways which light up the walkways leading to the center of the common. These decorations are unique to the town of ________, more specifically the town common during the winter time.

As a corollary strategy to providing excellent services, the adequate maintenance of existing facilities must also be accomplished on a priority basis. All this must be concluded within the scope of affordability in order not to burden our taxpayers beyond their capacity to pay."
